Songwriters on Skyline 500 is an intimate acoustic series at Shelby’s Trio featuring No. 1 hit songwriters and acclaimed artists. More than a concert, it’s an up-close look at the music, with stripped-down performances and the stories behind the songs.
Josh Phillips is a multi-award-winning songwriter with more than 80 recorded songs, including the No. 1 hit “Dirt Cheap” by Cody Johnson and cuts by Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, and George Birge & Brantley Gilbert. His work has earned honors including ACM, NSAI, MusicRow, and People’s Choice Country Song of the Year.
ROTUNDO blends country roots with modern influences he calls “Screen-door R&B.” Raised on his grandparents’ Ohio farm and a U.S. Army veteran, he began writing songs while stationed in Georgia before moving to Nashville. His debut album, led by “Memory Lane,” showcases his genre-blending style and storytelling.
